Hey!  Thanks for checking out my page, a place for all of my creative works!

I am a husband and father of 3 boys, living near Atlanta, GA.  My wife and I have owned a furniture store (“Adam & Sons“) since 2016, but I prefer to work on creative projects; primarily song writing / music production, indie video game development, and several forms of art (drawing/ painting/ digital/ building stuff).

This website is built like a blog, so you can check out each category of projects, or see everything I’m working on, chronologically, in one spot, here. Be warned, that might also include any random blog post I decide to write about my personal life as well (boring probably?).

Indie Game Dev.

I knew I wanted to develop video games since the 90s. My brother Arden and I have attempted many game projects since we were in High School; most I now simply look back on as our investment to get good at it (hopefully?).

In 2014 I wanted to venture beyond my usual contributions of art/music/story and I started building my own game project called “Nectira“. I felt I was over half-way done in 2016, when our family business became too demanding to retain steady progress on Nectira. More recently (2022), I’ve picked it up again, settling on slow progress over no progress. If I can keep this sort of limited, steady progress on it, I hope to finish it in the next couple of years. You can watch progress over on the Nectira website: Necitra.com

In the meantime, my brother and I decided to found a company called LionArc, and have put much more effort into one particular larger game project in a sort of a chess-themed open world, called Pawn’s Path. A larger overview is available here, or you can probably find some blog posts eventually on the Pawn’s Path website: PawnsPath.com

Music

In High School I started writing and recording my own solo albums in my bedroom. I never really made a push to seek fame or even share my music much; I just genuinely enjoy writing and the production process so much. Trying to become more public with it, I released “Open Story” by Adam JD in December 2018. I keep writing all the time, so future projects are always in the works.

A bigger part of my music story involves my wife Jess. We met through music, in an online artist group in ’04. Before we got married a year later, we started writing, recording and playing music together. After several years of also leading worship (music) at various churches that I/we were on staff with, we made a push to really pursue music under the band name “Ananias”.

That story currently culminates in 2010-2011 with winning a national contest among 500+ artists, resulting in the opportunity to record at one of Integrity Music’s studios with one of TobyMac’s producers, getting to be interviewed and perform on a TV show, winning a bunch of gear from Fender, and ultimately moving from Arizona to Georgia. There we worked hard on our debut album for several months, before shifting our focus to starting a family.

We both hope to play music together in some capacity, once these busy/demanding days of raising a young family and running our own business slow down. (maybe I should at least share the several of finished songs on this website.. soon?)
